My Broken Quantum Needs Repair. Call Iceman.

Have you ever wanted to see Bobby Drake from X-Men, Merry from Lord of the Rings and Littlefinger from Game of Thrones hang out and do stuff with Quantums? If the answer is either "yes" or "who", then Remedy's newest IP Quantum Break may just have been created specifically for you.

Sam Lake took the stage in Germany this morning to give a Quantum Break release date and just a little bit of gameplay. I mentioned this on a previous podcast but my concern with the game - and this trailer hasn't really addressed that concern (considering who I am and how important our site is, it's insane they haven't even provided us with a quote. psh.) - is that it looks repetitive. You can easily argue that Alan Wake had some pretty repetitive gameplay but was broken up by the excellent setting and story. In fact, Remedy gets the benefit of the doubt from me because I've generally enjoyed their games quite a bit with Alan Wake being a personal favorite.

Quantum Break has some interesting mechanics with the various time-related bubbles. It's Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time on a bender after one hell of a night with speedballs and beer bongs. And not just the game but Remedy is also adding in a live-action television program either with or within the game itself; How the show will work exactly was unclear but we've known about the live-action piece for some time with the assumption being it would be exclusively available on Xbox Live. Check out the video below and let us know what you think in the comments. I'm looking forward to seeing how this story unfolds on April 5th, 2016.
