Just to be clear, I'm not proud of that headline.
Along with Dishonored 2 and Fallout 4, Bethesda just couldn't have hit the trifecta if they had forgotten about Doom.
With melee abilities, the kind of gore you can shower in and STILL not be clean (wait...what?), and what looks to be quite a bit more speed to the game overall, Doom 4 is shaping up to be a wonderful trip down a memory lane filled with Hellspawns and asshole Marine's that want to double-barrel shotgun you into a hundred and seventy-seven pieces exactly. Along with that, the announcement of "SnapMap", a built-in map (and more) creator that appears to be incredibly robust while also being simple to use could be a real game changer. Literally.
Not only can you create new maps but it sounds like you can create new modes as well from standard Deathmatch to Horde-modes. With the map creation specifically, you can drop props, enemies and even decide the shape of the room. Check it out!
Bethesda really did a great job at their first E3 conference. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.
