Do You Know What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L?

Do You Know What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L?

With Fallout 4 on the horizon, Bethesda is starting to just throw information and promotions onto the internet with no disregard for our feelings. We're just chopped up meat, processed into a Pork & Beans can and distributed to the various Vaults so we can help sustain the "chosen" Garys.

Oh well. I accept it.

Yesterday they confirmed that there will be a Season Pass, priced at $30 and will contain ALL future Fallout DLC!

We’ve always done a lot of DLC for our games. We love making them and you always ask us for more. To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30. Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.

So, that's pretty cool. If they do anything like they did for Fallout 3 in terms of DLC quality, I'll be happy. I know every pack didn't set the world on fire - Yeah, that's right. I said it. Knowingly, too. Lay off, alright? I'm having a moment - but I enjoyed all of them for what they were. Which, in my eyes, was more Fallout

There was also some news about the Creation Kit. Bethesda sounds committed to making both modding itself and finding/using mods easier, faster and more accessible to PC and console players. The Creation Kit, the same tool they use in the studio, will be available sometime "early" next year for PC.

Today, Bethesda released a short animated video that will be the first of 7. Each video will take on a different letter in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L acronym, giving us a delightful explanation with both words AND moving images!

The animation is pretty great, it's chock full of that trademark Fallout humor (complete with brains, blood and Super Mutants!) and...well, it's just kind of perfect. It only makes perfect sense that they'd started with "S" for Strength!

I freaking loved this and am looking forward to the rest of the series. Animated Vault Boy is wonderful.
